Azalea - Florist Plant Care
Växter bör få full sol under denna period.

FAQ - 💬
❓ How do you care for potted florist azaleas?
👉 Bring your container into a bright room and place it near a window, but be sure it doesn't get too cold on frosty nights. The plant needs good light, such as morning direct sun and afternoon shade or bright indirect light all day. Azaleas as houseplants do best at temperatures around 60-65° F.
❓ How long do azalea flowers last?
👉 about three weeksCoveted for their spectacular blooms which come in a wide range of shapes and colors, Azaleas and Rhododendrons usually proudly display their colorful blooms in spring for about three weeks, depending on the weather.
❓ Are floral azaleas perennials?
👉 Azaleas are perennial, so they'll come back year after year, adds Fanello. "You can extend the season," he says, "by planting late-blooming varieties, such as the pink "Sweet September," orange "Flame Creeper" ground variety or "Weston's Lemon Drop" that has peach buds that open into yellow flowers."
❓ How often do azaleas need to be watered?
👉 twice a weekWatering: Water your azalea up to twice a week. It likes to drink, but if the soil gets too waterlogged – even for just an hour and a half – your azalea's roots will die. Also, never water azaleas from above.
👉 Azaleas require consistent moisture — letting the soil dry out between waterings works for many houseplants, but it can be devastating to your azalea. A couple of ice-cubes on top of the soil every day will provide a steady, slow-release supply of water, and keep the soil at just the right dampness.
❓ Do azaleas need a lot of water?
👉 Azaleas don’t do well when they have ‘wet feet’—a result of overwatering—but they do need their soil to be moist. If possible, use distilled water or rainwater to water your plant—hard water like that from a tap contains chlorine and chloramine that the plant does not react well with.
❓ Should azaleas be in pots when in Bloom?
👉 Azaleas flower best when slightly pot-bound. Never repot a plant when it's in bloom. Wait till after flowering and use a pot with a drainage hole. Using a clay half-pot -- also called an azalea pot -- is ideal for restricting the plant's roots and also allows good drainage.
❓ Can you grow an azalea indoors?
👉 You can grow azalea indoors much like any other houseplant, but as with other blooming plants, there are a few tricks you need to know about the care of indoor azalea if you want to keep them blooming year after year. Azaleas thrive in cooler temperatures — ideally around 60-65°F — and in bright, indirect or filtered light.
